Speartail began its operations in 2009, offering Managed IT Solutions to SMEs based in Singapore. With a strong and steadily growing clientele, we now also service customers with offices world wide. Our aim is to provide the same quality and integrity of IT services offered in large organisations to smaller enterprises, while tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs.

On-Site IT Consultant/Engineer

We're looking for a methodical IT Consultant/Engineer with great initiative and drive

Scope

You will be working as part of a team handling all aspects of consulting and support services to a selection of companies covering:

  • Systems and network implementation

  • Infrastructure work (on-premise, cloud, servers, networking)

  • End-user support

  • Consulting on new systems

  • Execution of scheduled tasks

  • Monitoring

You will be given your own customers to manage, to whom you will be the first point of contact.

You will primarily be stationed on-site with customers within the CBD.

Responsibilities

You will be the first person our customers see and talk to when they are facing issues, need technical input on their business or require technical explanations. Additionally you will:

  • Propose and implement new tools and processes

  • Take corrective action before a minor issue becomes a major problem

  • Share best practices and knowledge gained with colleagues

MINIMUM Requirements

  • An interest in learning and skills development

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • 3 years relevant experience

  • Qualifications in engineering, computer science or related fields

  • Singaporean or Permanent Resident

PREFERRED PROFILE

  • 5 years relevant experience

  • Experience with Azure, AWS and Office 365

 

IT Consultant

We're looking for a self-starting and methodical Lead IT Consultant

Scope

You will be leading a team of engineers who handle all aspects of support services and consulting to a group of customers under your responsibility.

You are expected to be hands-on and take part in delivering both solutions to immediate problems as well as defining long-term IT strategy and implementing infrastructure changes.

For customers without an internal IT function you will act as their head of IT.

For customers with an internal IT function you will be their primary liaison from Speartail.

You will primarily be stationed on-site with customers within the CBD.


Responsibilities

You will ensure that:

  • The engineers in your team are delivering a consistent product to our customers and meeting Key Performance Indicators

  • Our customers stay happy with our services

You will also plan the scheduling of the team.

Additionally:

  • You will be the primary escalation point for the customers in your group

  • You will manage your team of engineers/consultants

  • Perform on- and off-site support with your team

Requirements

  • Experience in people management

  • An interest in learning and skills development

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Good analytical skills

  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience

  • Qualifications in engineering, computer science or related fields

  • Singaporean or Permanent Resident
